Qawam

Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 June 2026

Qawam is a training, nutrition, and recovery coaching app for iPhone. We built it to keep your data with you: your logs live in your own iCloud, and we collect as little as possible. This policy explains what is involved and why.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. This is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) and gives us only an account identifier and, if you choose, your name and email. We use it to protect your access and to apply fair-use limits to the AI features. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Health data

With your permission, Qawam reads the following from Apple Health on a read-only basis, to estimate your daily recovery and track your training and sleep:

This Health data is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Your logs

The training, weight, and nutrition data you enter is stored in your own private iCloud (Apple CloudKit) and syncs across your devices through your Apple account. We cannot read it.

AI meal logging

When you log a meal by photo or description, that photo or text is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and to Google's Gemini API to estimate the calories and macros, which are returned to you. We do not retain the photo or description after the estimate is produced, and it is not used to train AI models or for any other purpose.

Subscriptions

Qawam Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles your payment; we never see your card details. We verify your subscription with Apple and store its status and your AI-usage counts against your account identifier so we can apply your plan and fair-use limits.

What we never do

No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, no selling or sharing of your data with data brokers.
